My name is Sheree and I was born and raised in Watertown, NY. I have been creating art in some form for as long as I can remember. My family recognized and encouraged my ability to draw from the very beginning. As a preteen I took an art class and discovered a love for painting that only grew in my teenage years. Thankfully in high school I had some great art teachers that really inspired me to continue with my art. Also, I met my husband, Chris, when I was just 16 years old and he has always praised and supported me in everything I do.
When I was 19 I went to get my first tattoo at White Ram Tattoo Studio. White Ram was this tiny place next door to a Harley-Davidson dealership. There I met the tattooer Dave and we really hit it off. We discussed our love for art and he offered to teach me to tattoo. Tattooing was much less mainstream then and I had never considered the possibility of becoming a tattoo artist. I can only think that this opportunity was just meant to be. I served an apprenticeship with Dave and worked with him until he moved out of the area. After White Ram closed Inkcraft Tattoo Studio was born.
Chris and I worked really hard to build Inkcraft and thankfully it didn't take long for people to know about us. Our clientele grew quickly and has really kept us going all these years later. We moved out of the area for a few years but upon our return we were greeted by customers who had been waiting for us to return. I have the best customers and I couldn't be more thankful. Repeat customers, and those referred by them, are the majority of my clientele. I have been lucky enough to meet some really great people at Inkcraft whom I consider not only customers but friends.
I feel incredibly lucky in life. Chris and I have been married since 1996 and we have an amazing daughter, Bella, who is 9 years old. My family is very close. My brother Tony even has his business, School of Tone, in the same building with Inkcraft. My sister, Dawn, helps out at Inkcraft and though my parents never thought their little girl would be a tattoo artist they are proud of me. Most importantly, I get to come to work and do something that I really love.
